Supporting the children of seafaring families in their own homes throughout the UK
Seafarers UK is the new name for King George’s Fund for Sailors, which has been helping seafarers since 1917. It is an umbrella organisation that awards grants to other maritime charities. If you work for a charity that helps seafarers or ex-seafarers your organisation may qualify for a grant from Seafarers UK. By seafarer we mean someone who is, or once was, in the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy or fishing fleets. We also give grants to charities that help seafarers’ families, including widows and children.
